The Hogataza river Drainage has 60 available tags Note this is not the controlled use area of the Koyukuk River. Drop hunts are available in the controlled use area read additional information below. Call for additional information.

Information:

All guided hunt are to include pick-up from airport in Huslia, and boat transport as required for your successful hunt.
Your hunt is to be conducted on a one on one guided hunt and to include camp gear (tent, cot, stove tarps) all meals are included and are prepared by guide pending size of hunt party.
Hunter is responsible for personal items and the following gear (Sleeping bag, appropriate coats, boots and clothing, meat bags, tags, licenses, rifle and ammo.
Be sure to let us know in advance of any special needs and or requirements or physical disabilities, as our hunts are fully guided hunters are expected to assist guide in caring and packing of harvested moose.
The hunt number is as above under Alaska Non-Resident hunts be sure to apply for the appropriate unit and hunt number. Call us for assistance!
September is Alaska’s rainy season, you should be prepared for rain and possibly snow on our later hunts. beware of gnats and mosquitoes as they our usually present and persistent, your gear should include bug spray and head nets.
Our camps consist of wall tents and heavy duty portable light tents.
You may keep all of your harvested moose meat, but be aware of the additional shipping cost to your destination meat donations are always welcome to the local residents.

Information:

All drop hunts to include pick-up from airport in Huslia, and boat transportation to suggested camp and pick-up at end of hunt.
It will our best efforts to check on your well being every third day, satellite phone contact is your responsibility for early departure or other contact needs.
Early departure or relocation maybe at an additional charge pending availability and location of our boats as we tend to regularly scheduled hunts.
Hunters are fully resposable for all required gear, food and other supplies
All hunts with in the KNWR are by draw only be sure to use the approprate unit and hunt number..

New! Meat Packing + Skinning, Service

$500 to $1,000.00 Pending kill location and distance to main river.
|

With
the risk of having to pay fines, do to poor game meat handling and waist we have
extended our service to include skinning, quartering and transport.
Transport
is only from kill site to boat. Boat to village is apart of the drop
hunt agreement. After the kill: Do to the time from notice to arrival of packers it is
required that hunter field dress (gut) the animal.
Game bags; upon request, game bags are available for purchase. Do to the unique properties and weight we only use the, Caribou Gear Ultra Light Game Bags.

Note: Moose hunting here is by drawing permit only. The drawing application period starts November 1st and ends December 6th of each year.
All hunters must have a guide-client agreement signed and dated on or before December 6th, hunters should contact us, to ensure that the proper paperwork is complete in time for the drawing.

Transportation:
|
From Fairbanks is by comercial flight, call for more infomation and current rates to and from Huslia.
All our hunts are conducted by boat to our hunt desination where we may venture by foot for short disances and or pending phisical abilitys.

During a moose hunt you may also harvest the folowing species;
Black Bear - trophy fee not required
Wolf - trophy fee not required
Grizzly Bear - trophy fee $6,000
Additional expenses:
Hunting License and Tags
Hunting License - $85.00 and 14 day fishing License Combo $165.00
Moose Tag - $400.00
Grizzly Tag - $500.00
Black bear Tag - $225.00
Wolf Tag - $30.00
Airfare to and from Fairbanks, Approximately $350.00 round trip.
Excess baggage to and from Fairbanks 40 pounds are allowed with ticket additional weight is at an additional charge, call for current rates and information.
Hunter is responsible for freight of meat and trophies from Huslia to destination.
Non hunters attending your hunt will be charged an additional fee of $2,800.00 for the duration of your hunt.
